WELCOME TO GATEWAY SRA Providing quality community special recreation programs since 1989, we are dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities through inclusive, engaging, and meaningful recreational experiences that promote choice, growth, connection, and fun! Gateway SRA is hiring Recreation Leaders, Recreation Aides, Athletic Coaches, Camp Counselors, and Volunteers to help create inclusive and engaging programs for individuals with disabilities. SUMMER CAMP Campers take part in games, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and themed events—all supported by caring staff who focus on each camper’s unique abilities. It's a summer full of laughter, growth, and unforgettable experiences! ATHLETICS Join Gator Athletics and become part of a team that champions inclusion and sportsmanship! We proudly participate in Special Olympics Illinois, offering athletes of all abilities the chance to compete, grow, and have fun together. Whether you're looking to stay active, build friendships, or challenge yourself, there's a place for you here! Fitness, Social Clubs, Hobbies and Events Offers a fun, inclusive space where individuals of all abilities can connect, stay active, and explore their interests. From arts and crafts to group games, themed socials, and fitness activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy while building friendships, confidence, and healthy habits!

Gateway SRA promotes the full participation of people with disabilities in meaningful activities that maximize their health, well-being, and quality of life. Therapeutic Recreation is a critical central component of a healthy lifestyle. This philosophy is carried out through all our recreation services for people with disabilities.

It is our Mission to expand people’s lives through therapeutic recreation activities to
Reach, Grow and Achieve.

ELEVATE – a Gateway SRA Day Support Service program provides a structured, 5 day a week, 5 hours per day, opportunity for individuals with disabilities to transition from high school/transition center to adult life in their community. This program will utilize real life recreation experiences and provide opportunities to transfer these skills successfully throughout the rest of their lives.

🌸🧩😎 We’re still talking about how AWESOME Spring Break Camp was at Gateway SRA last week! 🐊💚🌸😎What a week!
