Gateway SRA promotes the full participation of people with disabilities in meaningful activities that maximize their health, well-being, and quality of life. Therapeutic Recreation is a critical central component of a healthy lifestyle. This philosophy is carried out through all our recreation services for people with disabilities.

It is our Mission to expand people’s lives through therapeutic recreation activities to

Reach, Grow and Achieve.

Formed through an intergovernmental agreement, Gateway Special Recreation Association (SRA) is an extension of the Park Districts of Burr Ridge, Elmhurst, Oak Brook, Pleasant Dale, Westchester and York Center, the City of Countryside, and the Villages of Hinsdale and Willowbrook.

Gateway SRA contracts the services of the Ray Graham Association for People with Disabilities, a non-profit agency, to provide recreation programs. The Ray Graham Association has been serving the needs of people with disabilities and their families for more than fifty years.

🐊💚🏅Congratulations to all our Gators athletes that competed at Special Olympics Illinois Summer Games! We had 28 athletes competing in a variety of events. Swimming, Track and Field, Bocce and Soccer. Lots of medals and ribbons were awarded! ⚽️ Gators Soccer finished in 2nd place 🥈A HUGE shout out to all the families and friends that showed their support traveling to Illinois State University to cheer on our Gators.
