
ELEVATE – a Gateway SRA Day Support Service program provides a structured, 5 day a week, 5 hours per day, opportunity for individuals with disabilities to transition from high school/transition center to adult life in their community. This program will utilize real life recreation experiences and provide opportunities to transfer these skills successfully throughout the rest of their lives.
Elevate serves the following communities:
- Village of Hinsdale ~ Pleasant Dale Park District
- Elmhurst Park District ~ Burr Ridge Park District
- City of Countryside ~ York Center Park District
- Oak Brook Park District ~ Westchester Park District

Elevate is open for out of district residents with an out of district rate.
Elevate has a 2-day minimum requirement with a 1-year commitment.
Elevate currently has availability on all days.
Our drop off and pick up times are 8:15am and 2:00pm with the locations being at:
The Oak Brook Family Recreation Center (1450 Forest Gate Rd, Oak Brook, IL 60523):
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
Central Park West Building (1500 Forest Gate Rd, Oak Brook, IL 60523):
- Wednesday
We do provide transportation to the Oak Brook Park District from the Hanson Center (15W431 E 59th St, Burr Ridge, IL 60527):
- Drop Off – 7:50am
- Pick Up – 2:15pm

Elevate has 10 themed days:
- Mondays – (Science/Nature)
- Tuesdays – (Fitness/Library)
- Wednesdays – (Life Skills/Arts & Crafts)
- Thursdays – (Volunteer/Music)
- Fridays – (Cooking/Social Outing)
We are out in the community almost every day and our day is always structured for the theme of that day.
Every morning we start our day with the following:
- Zones of Regulation – (How are you feeling today?)
- What Did You Eat for Dinner & Breakfast
- News 2 You
- Day Overview
All participants bring a non-microwaveable lunch with an ice pack except for Cooking Day and Social Outing Day.
All participants must be able to use the restroom independently with minimal support.
Elevate follows the 24-hour flu rule which is to stay home until you’ve been fever-free for at least 24 hours and your symptoms are improving.
